These pre-fabricated units will then be shipped to the construction site and then assembled on the central core, the only part that will be built on-site using traditional techniques to house important static amenities like elevators, staircases, plumbing and other utilities. Each floor of the tower will consist of 48 of these factory-made modules that will arrive at the job site completely finished and self-contained with electrical, plumbing as well as air-conditioning systems ready for use. The modules will then be mechanically assembled at the rate of one floor every three days.

When completed, the rotating tower skyscraper will have 68 floors and will be 313 meters (1,027 feet) high. There will be a 6-star hotel, offices and apartments of various sizes besides five villas on the top floor. Each of the villas will have designated parking on the same floor with vehicles brought up and down in special elevators. The roof of the “Penthouse” villa will also have a swimming pool, a garden and an Arabian majlis. The tower also have a retractable heliport, a platform that will extend from the shell of the building at the 64th floor at the moment of landing, thus maintaining the dynamic aesthetic architecture of the tower.

If you can’t visualize how the tower can have endless shapes by dynamically rotating floors to adapts to its surroundings but also to the tenant’s needs and the tenant’s caprices, the following video may help you.

The Rotating Tower is actually a tower with a central concrete core surrounded by 59 independently rotating levels. It will also be the first skyscraper built with industrial systems process, where 90% of the building materials will be produced and constructed as modules in an industrial factory set up in Jebel Ali.

The UAE Ministry of Health has announced that for the majority of applicants, testing positive to Hepatitis or Syphilis will no longer be prohibitive in gaining or renewing an immigration visa.

The new measure, to lift the prohibition on granting visas to Hepatitis sufferers, was announced last week by a Ministry official, but as yet, no date for the implementation of the ruling into practice has been set. The test for Syphilis will be completely discontinued for all but a few specific occupations. Currently, everyone applying for a new or renewed UAE residency visa must submit to a mandatory blood test that will result in automatic deportation should it test positive for Hepatitis, Syphilis, Tuberculosis or HIV/AIDS. There is no mandatory testing for visitor or tourist visas, and once the new measures are implemented, dependents such as spouses or children will only be required to take the HIV/AIDS test.

Dr Mahmoud Fikri, the Ministry Executive Director of Health Policies said that “members from the Dubai Health Authority, Health Authority-Abu Dhabi and the Ministry of Health were involved in the technical committee…The criteria are the same as other Gulf countries and will apply everywhere.”

Chicago Trip

Chicago Illinois is one of the most exciting cities in North America, and anyone who experiences a Chicago vacation will surely agree. Chicago Illinois is a big city, with an infinite variety of attractions and Chicago hotels. Most people who return from a Chicago vacation make plans to return. It's impossible to see it all in a short period of time.

Chicago Illinois Neighborhoods

Depending on what you would like to do on your Chicago vacation, you might want to focus on a specific neighborhood. For example, the Loop, or downtown Chicago is where you will find commercial, governmental, and cultural buildings that are contained within a corral of elevated train tracks.

The North Side is also known as the Magnificent Mile. This is where you find the trendy and elegant North Michigan Avenue, which is home to the city's best hotels, shops, and restaurants. The area stretching east of Michigan Avenue to the lake is often called "Streeterville." In the late 19th century, after his steamship ran aground, George Wellington "Cap" Streeter, an eccentric, bankrupt showman staked out 200 acres of self-created landfill in this area. He then declared himself "governor" of the "District of Lake Michigan."

River North is located to the west of the Magnificent Mile. This old warehouse district has experienced a rebirth as one of the city's most popular tourist districts. Today it is home to many of the city's hottest restaurants, nightspots, and art galleries.

The buildings in the foreground of this photograph stand along Michigan Ave, which did indeed once run beside Lake Michigan. Despite many efforts by commercial interests to cut it up, Grant Park now stands along the lakeshore, protected by the protests of the people of Chicago under the leadership of public figures like department store magnate Montgomery Ward. Just as Central Park in New York acts as the lungs of that city, so does Grant Park provide a welcome green carpet next to the blue lake. Nevertheless, the skyline with its tall buildings is magnificent, quite appropriate for a place which is often considered the birthplace of the skyscraper, epitomized by the large black Sears Tower, tallest building in the United States.

The biggest obstacle to completing this building was zoning. The parcel of land selected was only zoned for as 540-foot tall building and a 350-foot tall building. However, the developer managed to assuage the city, neighborhood groups, and local open space activists by developing a riverfront plaza with six stories of parking underneath. The developer is also going to put up $9 million to help create DuSable Park.

The Interior Plains are largely coincident with the vast Mississippi River Drainage System (other major components are the Missouri and Ohio Rivers), as seen in this map. These rivers have for tens of millions of years been eroding downward into the mostly horizontal sedimentary rocks of Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic ages. The modern Mississippi River system has developed during the Pleistocen Epoch of the Cenozoic Era.
This is the first Chicago project for Spanish architectural superstar Santiago Calatrava, though he has graced the shores of Lake Michigan before with the Milwaukee Art Museum's Quadracci Pavilion. Its position at the point where the Chicago River drains Lake Michigan puts it in the center of the city's skyline, and out in front of any of the thousands of photographs taken by tourists cruising the lake each day.

Apparently the world’s major metropolises have hit upon a new scheme to attract new revenue and boost tourism: invite a bunch of filmmakers to make short films about the city that can be played in cinemas around the globe. This trick certainly worked for the 2006 anthology feature Paris, je t’aime (Paris, I Love You), which enjoyed a successful theatrical run both here and abroad and almost certainly convinced numerous travelers to make Paris their next vacation spot. Later this year, the Big Apple gets into the act with the upcoming New York, I Love You, which finds actors like Kevin Bacon, Rachel Bilson and Orlando Bloom appearing in films directed by such filmmakers as Mira Nair, Brett Ratner and…Scarlett Johansson?! Well, at least her first movie will be short.

Beating New York, I Love You to screens is Tokyo!, a collection of three films set in Japan’s hustling, bustling capital. Unlike Paris, je t’aime, which mixed fantastical visions of the City of Lights alongside more toruist-friendly postcard portraits, all of the movies in Tokyo! are pretty whacked out. That’s largely because the producers picked three oddball filmmakers to take on this project–Michel Gondry (The Science of Sleep), Leos Carax (The Lovers on the Bridge) and Bong Joon-ho (The Host). None of these men could tell a straightforward story if they’re lives depended on it, which is great news for film buffs, if not necessarily moviegoers interested in more traditional fare.

The Culture of China (simplified Chinese: traditional Chinese: pinyin: Zhōngguó wénhuà) is one of the world's oldest and most complex cultures. The area in which the culture is dominant covers a large geographical region in eastern Asia with customs and traditions varying greatly between towns, cities and provinces. Today there are..........
56 distinct recognized ethnic groups in China. In terms of numbers, however, the pre-eminent ethnic group is the Han Chinese. Throughout history, many groups have been assimilated into neighboring ethnicities or disappeared without a trace. At the same time, many within the Han identity have maintained distinct linguistic and regional cultural traditions. The termZhonghua Minzu has been used to describe the notion of Chinese nationalism in general. Much of the traditional cultural identity within the community has to do with distinguishing the family name. Traditional Chinese Culture covers large geographical territories, where each region is usually divided into distinct sub-cultures. Each region is often represented by three ancestral items. For example Guangdong is represented by chenpi, aged ginger and hay. Others include ancient cities like Lin'an (Hangzhou), which include tea leaf, bamboo shoot trunk and hickory nut. Such distinctions give rise to the old Chinese proverb
